Open forum to discuss name change branding
Mark your calendars for Thursday, June 21.
That’s the date of the UMR/Missouri S&T Brand Identity Team’s open forum to discuss the status of the name change brand identity and marketing effort. The forum will be held from 1:30-3 p.m. Thursday, June 21, in the Turner Room of Havener Center. All students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend to learn more about the project and the development of Missouri S&T’s brand identity.
More details to come.
Kickoff meeting with SimpsonScarborough/Creative Communication Associates
The Brand Identity Team met the principals of SimpsonScarborough (SS) and Creative Communication Associates (CCA) on Monday, June 11, for a kickoff meeting to discuss the brand identity and marketing work ahead of us. Christopher Simpson of SS and Ed Sirriano of CCA presented a draft timeline for the project and discussed the importance of involving students, faculty and staff in the process. The next steps in the process include:
• developing a more detailed project timeline
• completing a communications audit for the campus
• reporting the results of that audit (later this month)
• developing three concepts for a graphic identity (logo or word mark)
• presenting those concepts to the Brand Identity Team and campus community
More details to come. Check this weekly newsletter or the Name Change Conversations blog ( http://namechange.mst.edu ) for updates.
