SimpsonScarborough/Creative Communications Associates to assist with brand identity
UMR recently contracted with the consulting firm of SimpsonScarborough to assist with the development of a brand identity for Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T). SimpsonScarborough is the same firm that conducted name-change research in February and March to help determine the perspectives of corporate recruiters, prospective students, high school counselors, and area and state opinion leaders. Members of the SS/CCA leadership team will meet with the UMR Brand Identity Team and others next Monday, June 11, to further develop plans for creating the Missouri S&T brand identity. Stay tuned for more news about this partnership next week.
Promote the new name in your email signature
Looking for a simple way to promote the upcoming name change. Just add the line to your email signature:
Effective Jan. 1, 2008, UMR will become Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T)

Academic departments, admissions ambassadors, coaches and others preparing to recruit new students should download the name change fact sheet, print it out on departmental letterhead, and take it on the road to hand out to prospective students and their parents.
